Cooking & Fermentation Classes

Cooking your own food from scratch may be one of the most important things you can do for your health! It is also a hugely rewarding process once you get comfortable with it.

Who the classes are for

I offer cooking and fermentation classes for small groups, specially designed for beginners or less confident cooks.

How the classes work

We will hold the cooking class with a small group of your friends or family members either in your home or in another suitable location, and I bring all the ingredients.

Dietary issues

I am happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and I specialize in gluten-free cooking and baking.


Traditional cooking including (but not limited to!): Sauerkraut, fermented vegetables, milk kefir, kombucha, sourdough, GF sourdough bread, soups, salads, vegetarian dishes, French cuisine, traditional Greek cuisine, Southern comfort food.

What’s different

I like to demystify cooking and break it down into basic concepts, so that a recipe is not even needed! I have found this to be true for a surprising number of foods – even baked goods.

I encourage cooks to think about creating a balance of flavors (and thus, nutrients) within the same meal.
