If you aren’t quite ready to make your entire home a healing, rejuvenating refuge, can you at least give yourself one small space?
How about one room without clutter, where no cell phones are allowed, where all reminders of your to-do list are absent? Perhaps you have a yoga mat here, or a bolster, and you use them to relax. Maybe you decorate the room, sparingly, with a few objects that bring you inner peace and joy.
Maybe it isn’t a whole room, maybe it’s just a corner of a room, or a table to sit at. Give yourself that space to let go of the narratives you tell yourself all day long. Give yourself a space to just be.
